the greatest trip ever
On the eve of embarking on my greatest trip ever, I'm stuck pondering on how long it's been since I've had a long vacation from Amazon. I haven't taken a whole 3 weeks off since College and that was near 6 years ago. Perhaps it's the Nick Drake tunes that Justin has on in the living room that puts me such the contemplative mood. This is the greatest trip ever, because I'm finally taking a trip to China. Something I've always wanted to do... atleast as far as I remember.
Anyways we start our trip on All Nippon Airways tomorrow set for a noon depature to Tokyo. Fast forward a day, and we'll be in Tokyo at 3pm meeting up with Sano, Toshi, and Mariko. The next day we are set for travels in Hong Kong and surrounding areas with relatives that I haven't seen in over 13 years (my cousin is expecting twins!1). Then to Beijing on a 26 hour train ride to meet up with Ramy, Eitan, Sara and celebrate the wedding vows between Christina and Eric with Jed, Eugene and a few other's from the Seattle crowd.
I can't even begin to tell you how much I need this vacation. The only thing I'm worried about is the looming half marathon I have a few weeks after I return, but alas, I'll deal with that tomorrow... Ciao!

Have an awesome trip! Eat lots of yummy food! Take beautiful pictures from the top of Victoria's Peak in HK! And send my best wishes and congratulations to Eric and Christina!
you're taking the TRAIN to beijing from HK?! oh my goodness. well, i hope you remember to get the first class cabins (since i guess you'll be overnighting it?) should be an adventure, regardless...
remember to stay cool! i drank a lot of ice green tea and ate a lot of red bean ice cream bars.
